Q: Why
should I buy an engine from Rotary Performance?
A: For
over 10 years, Rotary Performance has built and installed
over 1000 engines. Some of the engines were purpose-built
for racing purposes, but most were built to be street
driven on a daily basis. We take a lot of pride in our
engine program. We developed the first 3mm grooving process,
and these techniques are still used in the world’s
fastest rotary cars.
One
of the reasons for our engine program success is our
insistence on going through the most minute details of
the engine. We consider our engines to be the best in
the nation.
Q: I
live too far from Garland, TX; is there any way Rotary
Performance can ship an engine to my local shop?
A: The
3rd generation RX-7 is a revolutionary car for its time.
In fact, it is more complex than most new cars. The twin
turbo system with all of its support parts creates a
most unique driving experience; but on the flipside,
the complexity is also overwhelming. Whenever we install
an engine, we take into consideration the entire powertrain
and its subsystems. Through our holistic approach to
engine building, we can provide the best engine because
we take all of its periphery into account.
By
insisting that all facets of motor building and installation
is done in-house, we take on the responsibility for the
entire job. We take serious pride in our engines and
we will not allow just anybody install it.
Q: Is
there a warranty for the new motor?
A:
We provide what we refer to as “common-sense” warranty
for the initial year or 12,000 miles. That means that
if the engine was never asked to produce over 350hp at
the wheels, then the parts used in the motor should not
have any problems. Apex seals and bearing failures at
that power levels just do not occur; unless poor tuning
was employed. At power levels over 350hp at the wheels
however, we consider that to be a “race level” engine.
And all breakage will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
Be
assured that we fully stand behind our engines which
we feel are the best in the nation. That is the reason
why we insist on seeing the process through from start
to finish, and we provide a peace of mind warranty if
the engine was never abused.
