Ari's engine bay sporting a newly ported motor. Unfortunately it didn't run until 10pm Saturday night before the event so it wasn't anywhere near being tuned. |
Side view of Ari's car. Best run of the day was only an 11.2 @ 133mph. The worst we've run in quite a few months. |
End of the day as the crowds surround the pits. Not our best showing but luckily plenty of RX-7s made it out to show the rest of the world that RX-7s are king of the hill. Drag racing, road racing, or on the street!

Peter Farrell's early morning run. This was his best run of the day. Video is in MPEG format and is approximately 340kb. |
The Pro-Comp finals matching Peter Farrell (PFS) versus Ari Yallon (RX7.COM). Ari got the hole shot and pulled ahead as Peter was having a fuel delivery problem. Unfortunately for Ari, his car cut off after the 1/8 mile and Peter caught him for the win by 0.006 seconds. |
Thanks to everyone that showed up and to those that raced. We had RX-7 owners that made the trip from as far as Maine (thanks Alfie!), Georgia, Florida, California, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and many more I'm probably missing. Also thanks to Peter Farrell and his crew (John Duff, Greg O'Conner) for coming down from Virginia and being such a nice group of guys. BIG thanks to the guys at Haltech who stayed up for basically a week straight helping prepare cars.

My apologies to Cesar Mora for not having pictures of his car online, the camera somehow FUBAR'd them into a digital mess. Cesar had an extremely impressive day as his car keeps getting closer and closer to the 10s!
Thanks again to everyone that got this far into our web site. We're glad you enjoy read and/or attending these events and hope to continue doing so.
