We
also carry a factory replacement radiator, built from
brass for long life and priced economically. This radiator
option is perfect for a restoration job or a daily driver.
This radiator is suitable for both 5 speed or automatic
cars.
Note: Not intended for turbo applications. Please use
the Fluidyne competition radiator for TurboII.
The
Fluidyne high Performance radiator for the 2nd gen
RX-7 is the perfect street radiator. Using a 38mm
thick core and 100% aluminum construction (no more
plastic, brittle endtanks to shatter), it delivers
a great balance of cooling efficiency and air flow
(if a radiator is too thick, cooling air can not
flow through it). The Fluidyne radiator delivers
excellent performance at a great price. We’ve
had only positive feedback from racers and street
cruisers regarding the cooling capability and fit
of this unit. Quality construction and superb performance
make this radiator a great value!

Race Radiator - 86-91

The
factory fabric covered oil cooler lines give many years
of service, but can fail if very old, or kinked, smashed,
twisted, etc. To check your lines, clean them thoroughly,
then run the engine for a good while and look for any
seeping through the fabric, around the fittings, or at
the sealing washers.
We carry replacement stainless steel braided oil cooler
line sets. These are highly recommended if you need to
replace lines, want added protection, and/or prefer the “racing” look.

Stainless Steel Oil Cooler Lines 86-91

Keeping
the cooling system maintained is definately a priority
to any RX owner. To reguate the temperature of the
engine, we’ve never found anything superior to the
Mazda OE thermostat. Here it is by popular demand.
Sold in the original Mazda box (on 89-91 the gasket is sold separately).
Mazda
Genuine Thermostat 86-88

Mazda genuine Thermostat 89-95

For
those not interested in a performance radiator cap we
also carry a factory replacement cap.
You
can upgrade your cooling system with the installation
of the Greddy Performance radiator cap. By increasing
the operating pressure of the system the boiling
point is also increased and the risk of overheating
is reduced. (For small filler necks only)
GReddy
Radiator Cap 1.3bar/19psi
Price: $24.95
Do
you have a single turbo? Is your street rod or race
ride always leaking oil? One of the most common reasons
is not having a catch can. The factory crankcase
ventilation system has its limitations. It’s
definitely not able to keep up with the “blowby” of
a real performance engine. This blowby pressurizes
the oil pan and makes gaskets and seals more prone
to leak. Also, turbo draining is negatively affected.
The crankcase needs to be vented to the atmosphere.
Designed with form and function in mind. The housing
is extruded, smooth anodized aluminum with Greddy
engravings. Can be mounted vertical or horizontal
and comes in two different inlet fitting sizes. Comes
with all necessary hardware.
Used in our own record setting race car, Evans High Performance is a
waterless coolant that can operate well even in a non-pressurized
system. Along with its high boiling point of 375°F,
NPG+ also features better heat transfer to minimize
detonation and pre-ignition. About 3 gallons are required
to fill an RX-7 (depending on radiator size).Note: Evans High Performance is
a pure coolant with no water added. It is not compatible
with any amount of water in the system.
Evans
High Performance Waterless Coolant - 1 gallon
Price: $42.95
When performing a conversion to Evans, it is recommended
that the system be flushed out with Evans Prep Fluid.
Evans Prep Fluid will draw any remaining water and coolant
from the system to allow the Evans to perform to its full potential.
Note: Flushing the system is not necessary if you're installing a
fresh, "dry" engine at the same time as a doing a conversion.
Evans Prep Fluid - 1 gallon
