12A Intakes
For all 12A engined 1st generation RX-7, we offer a easy
intake upgrade system to eliminate the restrictive snorkle
system. This allows the engine to injest the necessary
air by opening up all 360 degrees of the filter element
for better performance.
13B Intakes
On the special edition GSL-SE with it’s fuel injected
13B engine, replacing the stock air box with a higher
flowing, performance air filter kit is an easy, safe way
to increase HP. The advantage of letting air into the
motor as easily as possible can be visualized easily by
thinking of yourself trying to breathe through a straw.
While it’s quite easy to breathe while standing
still, at full stride you simply need more air to perform
well.
The Bönez Air
Intake kit for the 12A replaces the stock air filter
lid and air filter for improved flow. We retain the
lower portion of the stock air filter housing so that
you can continue to use all original hose fittings.
This kit is completely bolt on and can be installed
with simple hand tools in just a few minutes.

from the Race kits in that they utilize a special air
pump filter which is not included in the Race kit.
